Jan is a wonderful dog walker. My Golden retriever loves his walks with him, he's always super happy to see him. Jan is excellent and very kind and professional, I would wholeheartedly recommend him. He has also come to stay in my home to look after Raph when I've been away and he's a perfect house guest.Teresa C.Google Review
Jan is a fantastic dog walker. Rufus bonded with Jan very quickly and it was obvious he was happy to go with him after only one walk. Jan is also great with humans, the whole family warmed to him straight away, an important feature when trusting someone to come into your home and take your beloved pet out each week.Nancy S.Google Review
Jan is amazing with my dog, Huxley. He looks after him while I am away and is brilliant. He also walks him regularly and Huxley absolutely adores him. He's reliable and great with dogs, I couldn't recommend him more!Gary T.Local Guide, Google Review
Jan walks my dog weekly and I know he is in good hands. He is quite a handful of a dog and requires a very skilled person to walk him, and I feel he is well looked after when he is with Jan. Jan is polite, well mannered and a very nice guy. Highly recommended.Ernesto M.Google Review
How I work.
Five principles I commit to from the first visit. They are how I would want my own pets cared for.
Small groups, carefully matched
No more than four dogs on a walk, and never grouped without thought. Where a dog is better suited alone, it's walked one to one instead.
The same person, every visit
No subcontractors or last-minute substitutions. The hand on the lead is always mine.
Discreet key handling
Keys are coded, never labelled with your address, and stored securely. Returned on request, immediately.
Proactive communication
You receive a photo, GPS map, and short note after every visit, without needing to ask.
Honest pricing
One transparent rate per service. No surcharges for weekends, weather, or distance within the service area.
Comfortable transport
Wherever a dog travels by car, it's in an air-conditioned car with no cages, so the journey feels as comfortable as possible.
The streets I know every day.
Highgate village, the Heath, Queen's Wood, the lanes that connect them. The places your dog is in safe, familiar hands.

Questions, answered plainly.
Do you walk dogs in groups?
Group walks are capped at four dogs, and dogs are matched carefully before being walked together. Where a dog is better suited to walking alone, one-to-one walks are arranged instead. Walks run in the morning, late morning, and afternoon.
How are keys handled?
Keys are tagged with a coded reference, never labelled with your name or address, and stored securely. They can be returned at any time, on request, with no questions asked.
What are your cancellation terms?
Cancellations made more than two days before the booked service are free of charge. Within two days of the service, 50% of the original price applies.
How do you handle GPS tracking?
GPS trackers are fitted and used where the owner provides one. Please let us know in advance if you would like your dog tracked on walks.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Regular weekly slots are best secured a week or two ahead. Day care, boarding and house sitting are most reliable when booked at least one week in advance, but short-notice requests are accommodated where possible.
Do you take on reactive or anxious dogs?
Yes. Dogs who do not settle in a group are walked one to one instead. Each case is discussed honestly before any commitment is made, to ensure a sensible match.
How do I pay?
Payment is accepted by cash or bank transfer, with terms agreed in writing before the service begins.
